Jesus is King but not as we understand what it means to be a King. Jesus the King appears without power or glory; his throne is the cross, his crown is made of thorns; his hands are pierced with nails. He is the Servant King. He is the King of Love and he reigns over the Kingdom of love. The Gospel tells us how we might share in the victory and glory of Christ; “Do good to the least among you”. At Judgement day we want to hear the words: ”Come”, and not “depart”, from Jesus our King.
