Forty four years ago, the diocese of Bamenda and Portsmouth were twinned. Sadly, over the last few years there has been a steady deterioration in the socio/political situation between the English speaking region of Cameroon (within which Bamenda sits), & the French speaking government. This has lead to an escalating cycle of violence, resulting in deaths, villages being destroyed and schools being closed. Recently we had a special Mass at English Martyrs to pray for Fr Bon’s family members who had been killed in the conflict. In this crisis, the Bishops in Bamenda have been forthright in condemning the violence and killings. Please pray and be generous in your donations. See
