We believe that it is important to recognise how important young people are in the church, ensuring that they are welcomed and safe and that they are encouraged to development the great gifts that God has given them.
ReadingCYM supports the youth ministry in the churches of; Our Lady and St Anne, St James, St William of York, St John Bosco, Our Lady of Peace, Christ the King, English Martyrs and St Joseph.”
Reading Catholic Youth Ministry is a website to promote youth events for young people aged 11 to 25 living in the Reading area. There is also information for youth leaders and links to diocesan and other Catholic youth events.
Youth ministry involves working with volunteers to offer young people good experiences of the church, building a community of faith and supporting them in their relationship with God. We do this by running youth groups, youth led Masses, day events, trips away, pilgrimages, festivals, and opportunities of service and greater involvement in the parish.
